On desert sustains Beduin whole main livelihood is derived from camel and cattle breeding.The Beduin are divided into tribes,each tribe with its own grazing terrytory wherein they roam with their herds.The head of the tribe,the Sheikh,represents his people and is in charge of dealings with the authorities. The word Beduin,in arabic Bedu,is derived from Badiye,which means desert.The Beduin are reputed for their ready hospitality,and receive visitors gracefully.
